Universal Trackers
Universal trackers are the only trackers that work with all 3D models in Augment.
Models attach to a universal tracker automatically. They are useful for those who want to fix their model in place and move around it.
All universal tracker sizes will show your 3D model in its actual size.
Universal Currency Tracker
- USD: $1, $5, $10, $20, $50, $100
- Euro: 5€, 10€, 20€, 50€
- Peso: $20, $50, $100
Universal Augment Tracker
Trackerless
If you view 3D model in Augment without a tracker, it will appear by default on ground level at scale. You can then place the model manually in space with your finger.
Trackerless mode is perfect when you want to visualize large objects that are usually on the ground. Here are a few things to consider when using trackerless mode.
- Your model will launch automatically on the ground and at scale, in front of you
- If you move around, it will remain at the same relative position from you.
- If you try getting closer to the model, it will move back and remain at the same relative distance.

Custom Trackers
You can use your own images as trackers in Augment. Anyone can scan your image with the free Augment app and see your 3D model pop up on top of it or be redirected to your weblink. An image is associated to a single model, a gallery of models, or a website.
An image needs two properties to be a good tracker: complexity and contrast. See an example of a good custom tracker.
To create an interactive image, log in to Augment Manager, go to My Trackers, upload your image and associate it with a 3D model. Learn more about creating a custom tracker.
