Rose-Hulman’s Echoes alumni magazine highlights the cutting edge work of its alumni, faculty members, and students. For the Winter 2017 issue, Echoes ventured into the world of augmented reality, featuring the work of one of its students with the Augment app.
The issue, found online here, augmented its cover to incorporate a 3D model created mechanical engineering student John Czarnecki. Czarnecki created his 3D motorcycle model in Solidworks for his Graphical Communciation course. You can read more about the course at Rose-Hulman here. And by scanning the cover with the Augment app, available on iOS and Android, you can view his 3D animated motorcycle in augmented reality.
