If you have cash in your wallet, you have all you need to visualize small products in augmented reality with Augment.

A recent Augment update makes it possible for USD, euros, and pesos to serve as augmented reality trackers.

  • USD bills: $1, $5, $10, $20, $50, $100
  • Euro notes: 5€, 10€, 20€, 50€
  • Pesos: $20, $50, $100

Place a bill on a table or counter in your mobile device’s camera view, launch a 3D model from a product page or from any page with an Augment Button, and voilà! The model automatically attaches to the bill in real size. This allows you to move around your 3D model without it moving with you.

If you’ve been using Augment for a few years, you know that the Augment Universal Tracker was the key to visualizing small 3D models in AR. Large models like furniture or appliances that are placed on the floor can be viewed in trackerless mode.

With the Augment SDK, retailers can now let customers view their products in real size and in their real world environment, whether in trackerless mode or with an easily accessible dollar bill.
