How ZEN Thermostat showcased its virtual prototype to raise funds
In September 2014, ZEN Thermostat launched an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign to raise funds for production of its smart thermostat. With the product still in pre-production, ZEN turned to Augment to show customers and donors the final product.
The advantage of ZEN is that it is easy to use and beautifully designed. Leveraging Augment’s technology, the company was able to showcase its product’s design during the fundraiser. The augmented model highlighted ZEN’s competitive advantage and enticed customers to donate.
At the end of the campaign, the company raised 130% of its fundraising goal on Indiegogo.
