How to view models when the device has no compatible gyroscope ?

Without a compatible gyroscope, your device will not allow you to view the models by themselves, ie in trackerless mode.
Using the the Augment universal tracker will let get around this issue.
Print it here: http://augment.com/images/A4_Tracker.pdf
After clicking on your model (or scanning a QR code) just direct the device camera to the Augment universal tracker.
The model will then be displayed on top of the tracker.

Unable to view models in own account ?

After logging into Augment successfully, your models don’t display at all.

The reason for this issue encountered is probably an unshared folder.
It happens when you accidentally removed a folder sharing in your account on Augment manager. When this happens, your account will synchronise but your models will not display.
To fix this,

    • access your account in the Augment Manager.
• Go to “My models” and select the “My folders”, then click on the sharing options for the folder “All models.
    • You should see the message : “All models” is shared with other users.
Click on “invite a user” and add your account email address.
An email will be sent to your email address.
    • Click on the link provided there and accept the invitation.

The “All models” folders is now shared and should be accessible from your mobile devices.

Why does Augment need permissions like geo-localisation, taking pictures…?

To operate optimally, Augment uses many components in your mobile device. When installing, the app will request autorisations for these components.
By example :
-Geo-localisation allows the component doing the scanning to complete the task.
-Taking pictures permission is needed to allow the users to take a picture while viewing their models in a real environment.

Why does Augment use so much battery power?

To operate optimally, the Augment app uses many components in your mobile device such as the camera or the gyroscope. For this reason, it requires more battery power than simpler apps.
The use of these functionalities is also the reason why Augment performs so well and is greatly appreciated by its users.

  • If you created the tracker:

Error message: “External reference expired”

QR codes generated by Augment are only valid for 24h after being issued. Scanning a QR code that has expired, will result in the “External reference expired” error message.

With Augment, it is recommended to use custom trackers instead of QR codes.

  • If you do not have a custom tracker attached to your model, you can generate another QR code by logging into your account at www.agmt.me and clicking on “my models”.
All you models will be listed there. Just choose the “view” option on the model and it will generate a new QR code.
  • If you did not create the QR code but only scanned it, please contact the person who provided it.
